Focused pressure over the surgical wound improves the aesthetic outcome.

The pressure focused on a wound leads to its healing, by the effect of the stimulation of arteriogenesis and angiogenesis in the affected area, with a surprising aesthetic outcome. The antibacterial and debriding properties of compression make it a fundamental therapeutic tool in wound management. I checked this effect, treating vascular leg ulcers by means of compression therapy, using a modality which I named “double focal compression bandaging”. The pressure is achieved using a pad-gauzes putted over the wound and fixing it to the skin with adhesive -tape.

Interest of the laser in dental practice

Gingivectomy is the surgical removal of gum tissue. This procedure is used to treat gum disease and to eliminate deep pockets resulting from the detachment of gums from the teeth, or for esthetic reasons. Currently, gingivectomy is the most common procedure performed with dental lasers. All laser wavelengths can be used to precisely incise the gum for restorative, cosmetic and periodontal purposes. Rapid healing and reduced pain are frequently observed after gingivectomy and patients do not require periodontal dressings or sutures.

Clinical reasoning process in the management of fixed prosthesis cases among senior year Dental students part i: treatment plan

The aim of this study is to evaluate the clinical reasoning process among dental students at the Faculty of Dental Medicine in Casablanca. Materials and methods: A questionnaire including a clinical situation was distributed. 117 students in the last year of their training responded and the data were entered using a Microsoft Excel 2013 computer tool. Results: The majority of students were able to detect the objectives of the clinical case. 100% of them opted for pre-prosthetic care first and they placed prosthetic rehabilitation in the second step to replace the missing teeth.

Decision-makingin the management of fixed prosthesis cases among senior year dental students part ii: at-risk and specific patients

Purpose: To assess the ability of senior year dental students to adapt the treatment plan based on specific patient conditions. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study involved a sample of 150 senior year students at the Faculty of Dentistry in Casablanca. The survey used a questionnaire with different clinical situations. Results: The most proposed solution for a patient with low financial means was to replace the missing teeth with a removable prosthesis (67.5%).

Preventing surgical site infections in east and sub-saharan Africa

This research project provides evidence-based scientific methods for preventing Surgical Site Infections (SSIs) following operative obstetric and gynecologic procedures in East and sub-Saharan Africa. Some examples of these gynecological and obstetric-related procedures are caesarian section, hysterectomies, myomectomies, oophorectomies, and tubal ligations. An initial meta-analysis of 120 articles (n1=120) was used for providing the best infection control protocols that have proven successful in some of the developing and developed countries.

India’s pharma and medical devices strategies: an assessment of the production linked incentive (pli) scheme

India has one of the largest pharmaceutical Industries in the world. It is the largest provider of generic medicines globally, occupying a 20% share in global supply by volume, and also supplies 62% of global demand for vaccines. India ranks third worldwide for production by volume and fourteenth by value. Despite India being one of the largest exporters for generic medicine, since many years has been majorly dependent on China for raw materials like APIs, which has been a hindrance in the growth of the domestic manufacturing units.

A retrospective evidenced-based approach for preventing the spread of covid-19 in the state of Texas, USA

This research project provides evidence-based scientific methods for preventing SARSCoV2. SARSCoV2 is a viral pathogen responsible for causing COVID-19 infections in human populations. Educating Texans about the importance of using technology, wearing masks, social distancing, hand washing, screening, vaccination, and developing more interagency cooperation between the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and other local health departments is essential for preventing more epidemics and or pandemics.

A study on green human resources management practices in organizations

Human Resource Management (HRM) is an important faction of management that deals with the most valuable assets of an organization which is human resources. The whole context of HRM is currently being considered in the light of sustainability all over. Expanding the statement, we contend that Green Human Resource Management is the most significant element of sustainability. Green Human Resources Management (Green HRM) has recently attracted the attention of academic researchers and practitioners.

Glucocorticoid-induced skin atrophy consequence in surgery. a distal tibia fracture case

Glucocorticoids are largely used in therapy for many diseases with a noteworthy efficacy. However, the use of glucocorticoids by a systemic or local way (topical or inhaled) is associated with numerous cutaneous side effects. Long duration of treatment and high dosage are associated with more severe side effects. Complications are related to the pharmacological properties of the molecules, especially metabolic and immunosuppressive. The mainly metabolic side effect is skin atrophy.

Abdominal compartment syndrome after a chronic mesenteric ischemia: about one case
