Analysing two of his plays, Our Town and The Skin of Our Teeth, which won Pulitzer Prize, the former play celebrates life whereas the later encourages man to face all struggles and make a history by surviving the struggles.

Optimization andprediction of thermal conductivity of tig mild steel weldments

Mild steel is in the classes of materials with high thermal conductive property, increasing the temperature unduly during welding would be detrimental to the microstructure of the weldment. In this research, we aim to minimize the thermal conductivity of mild steel during welding operation to get a quality weld. To achieve that, Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was employed, where twenty sets of experiments were carried out, adopting the central composite experimental design.

The effect of late pregnancy on tear secretion in Romanov sheep

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of late pregnancy on tear secretion in Romanov sheeps. The study material consists of a total of 54 Romanov breed sheep, with pregnant (n = 27, group 1) and non pregnant (n = 27, group 2) housed under the same care and nutrition conditions between ages 9 months - 4 years old. Tear secretion was measured with Schirmer Tear Test (STT) respectively. It was found that tear production levels in the Group 1 (12.48 ± 3.72 mm/min) were not significantly different than the Group 2 (11.59 ± 4.07 mm/min) with a p value of 0,406.

Libraries as indispensable agent for educational development

The paper discussed the library as a pre-requisite for sustainable development at all levels of education. It gave a typical breakdown of the types of libraries and their functions in bringing about educational development among the teeming rural and city population in our attempts at national growth and development. The factors influencing countries to participate in global value chains evidence from East African Community (EAC)

The world trade has perceived generous changes over the two past decades, because of not only downturn in transport costs but also the information technology upheaval, further open economic and trade policies. This paper analyses the factors influencing countries to participate in global value chain in EAC member states using gravity model. The paper uses data on the investment, gross domestic product, distance and landlocked in estimation.

Impact of human activities on fish communities in the aquatic systems of the ivorian coastal zone andestablishment of a biotic integrity index (IIB)

The main objective of this study is the establishment of a Biotic Integrity Index (IIB) based on fish by considering 5 coastal basins of Côte d'Ivoire. Samplings were made between 1999 and 2001, in 109 stations using an electrofisher Smith Root model 12 POW Back pack Electrofisher and in 56 stations using 15 mesh vacuum nets of 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90 mm. The results indicated that the ichthyological populating of all the basins was composed of 57 species and 01 hybrid.

Biopesticide and biofertilizer effect on some growth parameter of indian spinach and soil physical properties

A potted experiment was carried out on the faculty of Agriculture growth chamber of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Igbariam, to evaluate the effects of two biopesticides and Pennisetum biofertilizer on the physical properties of Igbariam sandy loam soil cropped to Basella alba. The experiment was laid out in complete randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications.

Bioefficacy of some biopesticide agents and treated Pennisetum biofertilizer against root- knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) on indian spinach (Basella alba) and soil chemical properties

Study of development and population structure of dairy cows friesian holstein in enrekang, south sulawesi, Indonesia

Indonesia's dairy cows population tends to increase with growth of 5.18%. The population growth of dairy cows in Java from 2013 to 2017 has decreased by 1.2% per year, while outside Java has increased 1.33% per year. Enrekang Regency is one of the areas in South Sulawesi that has suitable characteristics for the development of dairy cows. The uniqueness of the development of dairy cows in Enrekang namely the processing of fresh milk is made into Dangke. The data analysis method used in this study was analytical descriptive.

Information need? Reviewing the concept of wilson’s information need behavior

Introduction: Information behavior theory provides three main attributes of need, seeking and use. Seeking and use behavior are active and passive whereas need is not; but is a lack of something and lack can only be acted on. However need has for long been used to qualify behavior even when it lacks definitive attributes for behavior; thereby making the term “need” moribund and not fitting attribute of behavior. This paper analytically looks at need behavior and reviews its concept as attribute of information behavior.
