Resin-bonded fixed partial dentures with metal framework a report of 49 cases followed for 2 years

Purpose: The survival rates of 49 cast metal resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD) were evaluated in this clinical study for a period up to 30 months. Method and materials: Forty-four patients with a total of 49resin-bonded fixed partial denture (RBFPD) placed between 2010 and 2012were examined after 6-month periods for up to 30 month. Originally, there were 50 patients (the drop-out rate was12%). Partial or complete total debonding of the RBFPD was considered a treatment failure. The data were analyzed with Kaplan-Meier survival test (α=.05).

Impression technique for both implant and natural tooth: A case report

Objective: Impression for implant restorations is usually taken in one-step. It traditionally requires the use of impression copings, analogs and laboratory components. On the other hand, two-step impression technique is commonly used for making impressions in conventional fixed dental prosthesis. To capture the position of implants and to record fine details of the prepared tooth simultaneously, few techniques have been described in the literature.

Correlation between the form of the maxillary central incisor and the inverted form of the face (part ii: statistical study on a moroccan sample)

In this second part we will publish our results of the study of the correlation on a sample of the Moroccan population in order to illustrate, to compare and discuss our observations with those of the literature. The objective of our study was to evaluate the correlation between the shape of the face and that of the inverted upper central incisor. Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the correlation between central incisor form and the inverted form of the face form in a Moroccan sample of 200 subject and to investigate if there was agreement with the Leon’s William theory.

Correlation between the form of the maxillary central incisor and the inverted form of the face (part i: literature background)

This is the first of a set of two papers dealing with the relationship between the shape of the maxillary central incisor and the inverted form of the face. The central incisor is a tooth that dominates the anterior region in terms of shape, size and location. This makes it the key to the success of any aesthetic rehabilitation. In addition, it is the only tooth to completely face the smile, which reinforces the impression of dominance.

Current rehabilitation practice in parkinson’s disease: A survey of best practice

Study Objectives: The main aim of this survey was to identify perceived best practice, as viewed by physiotherapists, for the physiotherapeutic management of people with PD, using a modified Delphi technique. Design: Survey study Setting: A total of 107 physiotherapists were approached to participate in the study. The survey was conducted included both the NHS and private practice Physiotherapist. Methods: The Delphi survey was conducted with the current practice questionnaire also being sent.

Management of childhood asthma in the emergency department in marrakesh, morocco

Asthma is the most common chronic disease in childhood. The morbidity and asthma mortality have become a problem in recent years, the most often due to inadequate therapeutic management. Effectiveness of single task exercise on improving physical balance among cerebro vascular accident (cva) patients

Objective: The main purpose of the study is to assess the existing level and post test level of physical balance among cerebra vascular accident patients,to evaluate the effectiveness of single task exercise on physical balance among cerebra vascular accident patients and to associatethe effectiveness of single task exercise among cerebro vascular accident patients with their demographic variables. Material and Methods: A pre experimental one group pre test post test design was adopted for the study.

Sheehans syndrome: Post partumade nohypophyseal insufficiency: A case report

Sheehans syndrome can present with complete or partial pituitary insufficiency resulting from severe post partum hemorrhage. The pituitary gland, owing to its enlargement during pregnancy secondary to high estrogen levels and hypervascularity, remains vulnerable to arterial prressure changes and prone to emorrhage/infarction following hypovolemic shock encountered during post partum hemorrhage. The presentation ranges from sudden catastrophic event of hypovolemic shock followed by pituitary necrosis to gradual onset of partial to complete pituitary insufficiency over months to years.

Clinical equivalence of heparinized arterial plasma to venous serum samples for magnesium measurement in critical patients at moi teaching and referral hospital, eldoret kenya

Electrolytes routinely measured in patients in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) are sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium and magnesium. Of these; sodium, potassium, chloride and calcium are measured as part of tests done during blood gas analysis (BGA) using arterial blood. However, magnesium is measured from a venous serum sample since measurement cannot be done during BGA. Both arterial and venous puncture are traumatizing to the patient and trauma increases when both are done numerous times on the same patient in a single day.

Holter ecg big data project: Allostatic state mapping by ambulatory ecg repository (allstar)

Holter electrocardiography (ECG) is the most successful bio-signal monitoring during daily activities. There is no other example in the history of human beings that such long-term, well-standardized physiological data were globally corrected. To utilize this precious information resource, the Allostatic State Mapping by Ambulatory ECG Repository (ALLSTAR) project has started since 2007 in Japan.
