Developing a winning ecommerce strategy

One bright spot on the economic horizons around the world seems to be continued consumer spending and ecommerce is clearly a part of this, with sales estimated to be in excess of $9.9 Billion in the next three months according to ACNielsen. But, there is a dark cloud hovering over this sunny ecommerce landscape called poor web site design. Let's explore some of the reasons why consumers are not reaching for their credit cards after perusing an ecommerce web site. There is a huge knowledge gap about how the web is really driving online and offline commerce.

Ecommerce is growing rapidly. Besides the big players such as Amazon.com and Buy.com, small businesses realize that they can also increase their sales revenues by using the Internet. With this realization, more and more online stores are opened by the small business segment.

Plagiarism: A perspective from a case of a northern nigerian university

Academic dishonesty, especially plagiarism, is a global problem that has bedevilled the academia. It is regarded as unethical and immoral intellectual thievery that could negatively impact on not only the repute of an academic institution, but the prosperity of a society. This study was designed to investigate student’s awareness and indulgence in plagiarism and their perception of punishment towards Plagiarists. Towards this end, a sampling survey approach employing questionnaires and interviews was used to collect data from a total of 200 Gombe State University students (Nigeria).

Gene therapy for oral squamous cell carcinoma-a promising future

Gene therapy is commonly used in reference to any clinical application of the transfer of a foreign gene. Initially, gene therapy was associated with either the correction of inherited genetic disorders or the treatment of life threatening conditions. Now the procedure has been extended to the level of treating malignant conditions such as cancer of the lungs, breast, colon etc. Clinical applications of gene transfer can be accomplished in two ways in vivo or ex vivo. This review highlights various types of gene therapy procedures with respect to squamous cell carcinoma.

Study of palaeolithic archaeology using gis: a case study from kuliana block of mayurbhanj district in odisha

A number sporadic works on various aspect of Mayurbhanj Paleolithic culture are made by different archeologist/ anthropologist. In this search extensive filed exploration is done by mix with GIS expert and anthropologist, resulted in the discovery of kalabadia, kuliana, kamta, and Kuchei Paleolithic sites. The study area is primary in nature and has preserved habitatical deposits. Hand-axe, choppers, Scrappers are made of Quartzite are belong to the Paleolithic period.

Management of cloacal prolapse in a reticulated python

This report is based on the findings from a captive reticulated python aged around eight years weighing 52 kilograms and 5.9 feet in length showed history of dullness, depression and a large sized bright red colored soiled mass hanging outside the vent. On detailed examination, the everted mass was identified as cloaca and the condition was called as cloacal prolapse. Cloacopexy was performed. The treatment and prevention methods were discussed.

Fde with fixed dose combination of ofloxacin and ornidazole with cross-sensitivity to metronidazole: A novel case

Ornidazole is a (synthetic) newer 5-nitroimidazole derivative and is commonly prescribed for amoebic dysentery in developing countries. Ornidazole has low incidence of side effects, but sometimes may cause significant allergic reactions such as fixed drug eruption (FDE). FDE is a rare adverse drug effect characterized by onset (appearance) of round or oval, erythematous macules on the skin or mucosa that can be associated with itching and burning sensation. It is a distinctive variant of drug-induced recurrent dermatosis occurring at the same site of the skin or mucous membrane.

Background: In India, about 2 lakh snake bites are reported annually, of which 35,000-50,000 people die, out of 216 Indian snake species, 52 are poisonous, despite the availability of polyvalent snake antivenom, inappropriate first aid, regional effects of envenomation and inappropriate use of antivenom result in significant and at times potentially avoidable morbidity and mortality, particularly in children. Snake bite is a neglected disease that afflicts the most impoverished inhabitants of the rural areas in the tropical developing countries.

Nylon clothing and scrub bath stone dermatitis

53 patients are selected and they are asymptomatic in their aspects. 23 patients have nylon scrub used for bath and 10 patients wearing the nylon clothing and remaining are not used the nylon brush but they have hyper pigments on the face, back and fore arm. Nylon brush user have bluish black pigments on the bone and below the bony prominence and other 10 regular users of nylon or synthetic clothing have blackish discoloration on abdomen , back and shoulders.
